Naruto
The main character, Naruto wants to be Hokage. He has the nine-tailed-fox, or kyuubi sealed inside of him granting him lots of charkra.

Sakura
One of Naruto's teammates. She has a crush on Sasuke.

Shikamaru
Shikamaru was the first of the group to become chunin, even though he is lazy. Shikamaru is known to be smart though.

Sasuke
One of Naruto's teammates, he left kohona to train with Orochimaru. Sasuke is from the Uchiha clan, who was wiped out by his brother.

Kakashi
Naruto's Team leader. Kakashi is a jounin, and is called the "mirror ninja". He has sharingan in his left eye.

Shino
Shino is part of a clan who controls bugs. He is mysterious and not much is known about him.

Tsunade
the 5th Hokage. She was one of the 3 legendary Sanin, the group of ninja trained by the 3rd Hokage.

Orochimaru
One of the 3 legendary Sanin, Orochimaru left Kohona when he was turned down on title of Hokage. Now he wants to destroy Kohona

Itachi
Itachi is Sasuke's brother, who killed the Uchiha clan and later joined Akatsuki.

Jiraiya
Jiraiya is one of the Sanin, he
has started to train Naruto and he was the one who taught Naruto Rasengan and summoning.

Gaara
Gaara has become Kazekage after Naruto has taught him to love others. Before that Gaara hated everyone.

Lee
Lee has no Ninjutsu or Genjutsu but is a master in Taijutsu. Lee never gives up, though.

Hinata
Hinata is part of the Hyuga clan who uses Byakugan. Hinata is a very shy girl who likes Naruto.

Neji
Neji is part of the Hyuga clan also and is a master of the art "eight trigrams sixty-four palms"

Temerai
Gaara's sister, Temerai is one of the most powerful Kunoichi in the village of the sand.

Sasori
Sasori is part of the Akatsuki and is a puppet master. He kills people and makes puppets out of them.

Deidara
Deidara uses clay to make "art" that is actually a bomb. Deidara is one of the Akatsuki members.

Sai
Sai is the replacement member for Sasuke. He is very good at art. Sai gives people pet names and calls them as he sees them not by their real names.
